Colleen wrote a beautiful ceremony that fit our personalities. The other “officiants” we interviewed didn’t come close to this celebrant! She had us fill out separate in depth questionnaires and from there wrote our love story and a beautiful 30 min ceremony that was absolutely perfect! She was one of the best parts of our wedding. Choosing Colleen to officiate our wedding was not a hard decision. She met up with me several months before the big day. I really liked her from the start. Her energy is very relaxed and I could tell she would be a good fit for us. Another unique thing that she offered was to ‘personalize’ our wedding. My husband wanted a short and sweet ceremony (and didn’t want to say too many personal things), but I wanted it to be very personal and I wanted everybody to feel included. We filled out a questionnaire separately and she wrote a beautiful ceremony for us. We were able to edit it and we both felt very comfortable and excited with the words she spoke. Plus we get to keep a copy of it! On the actual wedding day we had to make quick decisions by changing the location of the ceremony due to rain. Colleen made this transition smooth and non-dramatic. We really appreciated everything she did for us. She was a big part of what made our day so special. April 2019

My husband and I just recently got married the first of October. We were so honored to have the privilege of not only meeting Colleen, but having her perform our wedding. We had absolutely no worries with her. She responds in no time, answers any questions you may have and makes everything so personal. Our wedding was so uniquely put together. Was a true blessing that meant so much to us. She does incredible work. She told our love story of eight years, yet kept it short and sweet. My wife and I got married at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Cincinnati on April 7th of 2017. We were so honored to have Colleen as the officiant for our ceremony. We didn’t have a lot of unique things we wanted to do or much direction going into our meeting with her, but she made things easy for us and took the stress out of our ceremony planning. Everyone really enjoyed the personal love story she created! We’d recommend Colleen to anyone because you can tell she really cares about the couples she works with. 2017

When we met Colleen the first time, we talked about our relationship, how we met, and gave her our basic vision of the type of ceremony we wanted. Colleen has a great process: Three months before the ceremony, she sent each of us a questionnaire with instructions not to share with the other what we wrote. Based on what we wrote, Colleen crafted (and this is just the right word to use) a ceremony and we received her first draft roughly four weeks before the wedding. For both of us, it was a good surprise to discover what the other said, thought, and felt about our relationship, our shared vision, and what we expected as our relationship matured. This was truly one of the best experiences we had. The ceremony as written was great. We made some minor adjustments simply because seeing the completed document gave us other thoughts; but, on the whole, the ceremony Colleen conceived remained intact. Having the ceremony as a complete reflection of personalities and our “messaging” to our guests really was the best part about having Colleen customize the ceremony. While we expected our friends and relatives to compliment the ceremony, we were surprised and delighted when the guests neither of us knew commented on how beautiful and emotional the ceremony was. All in all, working with Colleen gave us one of our greatest and most delightful surprises.

My wife Andrea and I absolutely loved our ceremony. We wanted something simple, and with conflicting schedules, were resigned to a courthouse wedding, when we came across Colleen. From our first contact she treated us with the same care as she would a large event, and on the big day managed to make our ‘simple’ ceremony into something we will cherish forever! There wasn’t a dry eye to be found afterward; it was simply perfect and more than we ever expected. We could not have asked for a better experience from our celebrant than we received from Colleen. The original meeting with her was quick and easy, and the follow up “getting to know you” packet she had us complete to get to know us was fun to fill out together. A couple of weeks before the wedding, Colleen sent us a draft of the ceremony, using bits and pieces from our completed packet to create a 100% tailored wedding ceremony for us. We didn’t even have to edit it – it was perfect the first time around! After the ceremony, many of our guests complemented us on the ceremony in particular, and a few even said it was the best ceremony they’ve ever attended. Colleen is amazing! She crafted the perfect ceremony for us. She helped us decide exactly what we wanted, gave us lots of ideas and feedback, and asked us to fill out a couples questionnaire that we both enjoyed (and which helped us bond even more ; ) On our wedding day, she made sure everything ran smoothly. We received sooo many compliments on our ceremony (even from another celebrant)! It was so personalized; honest and heartfelt, but still light-hearted–we even laughed a few times. We could not have been happier with our celebrant, Colleen. Right from the very beginning she was very friendly, easy to deal with and made everything very straight forward. Colleen took the time and effort to get to know us and create a ceremony about our love story. She always kept us informed and offered great ideas and suggestions that enhanced our experience.
Colleen tailored our ceremony uniquely to our relationship, she also included the special people in our lives allowing us to pay homage and give thanks for their contributions. Colleen was brilliant on our wedding day. We were very impressed with her professionalism and organization skills. Her ability to prepare those who had a role in the ceremony (adults and six children) in a very short period of time, speaks to her excellent communication skills and professionalism. Colleen is very sincere; she’s a great speaker with a lovely speaking voice. We had so many comments on how great, special, unique, and interesting our ceremony was, and we were thrilled. We loved working with Colleen for our wedding. We wanted a secular ceremony and something very personal, while limiting the ceremony to 30 minutes. Seemed like a tall order, but together we got it done! We loved filling out our “couples’ survey” and felt that it gave us the opportunity to really tell our story and loop our family and friends into the ceremony. Colleen offered suggestions but was very flexible. She was open to doing multiple drafts/changes to the ceremony as it firmed up. She attended our rehearsal and dealt with our large, somewhat unruly group well 😛 Would definitely recommend. 2014

Colleen did an amazing job officiating our wedding. She made us feel extremely comfortable and really got to know us so she was able to write and perform a perfect wedding ceremony. The ceremony was exactly what we wanted, and included our own words and words of our friends. She gave us a number of drafts so we were able to work with her until it was just how we wanted it.
We were nervous about selecting someone we didn’t know to officiate our wedding but it turned out amazing. All of our guests loved how personal she made it. I would definitely recommend her to others. It was the highlight of the night! 2013

We were looking for a very personalized wedding ceremony that would reflect our relationship and personalities. Colleen provided just that and more! We met with her and filled out detailed questionnaires to help her develop our ceremony. The result was truly amazing! Guests kept telling us how special it was, and how much they enjoyed hearing such a unique, and honest wedding that actually reflected the bride and groom instead of something generic.
