Celebration of Life

Welcome to my Life-Cycle Celebrant practice serving as a Funeral Officiant in the Cincinnati Tristate Area.  I know that if you have found my website you are seeking help in a very difficult time of your life, but I also know that you are looking for a very special ceremony, either for yourself or a loved one.

You have my assurance that the process of writing this ceremony will be as smooth and stress free as possible, the service that we co-create will be the very best and it will be delivered with compassion, warmth and professionalism.

This work is profoundly moving and I am grateful to be able to make a contribution to other’s lives in such a meaningful way.  I consider it an honor to collect the stories of a life time, to pick up the multicolored threads of a person’s legacy and weave a beautiful picture that holds the light of memory to the passage of one being through life.

I am amazed anew with each ceremony that I do at the power of Ceremony to transform pain, heal emotional & spiritual wounds, honor and celebrate life’s passages, relationships, struggles and victories.  There is path through grief and it starts with ceremony.

funerals & memorials

Please accept my condolences.  When a loved one dies there so many things to consider, so many details that require your attention.

In perhaps one of the most difficult times in your life you are also suddenly faced with the need to plan a funeral or memorial service, creating a meaningful tribute, an End of Life Ceremony for your loved one.

As a Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant®, I can create with you that unique tribute that reflects the life, the loves, the accomplishments and the values of your loved one.  Through a process of careful, thoughtful listening and research I will design a ceremony that honors their life.

I contribute to the process my experience, training and knowledge but not my beliefs, values, or religious inclinations.  I will create a ceremony for your loved one that will be a reflection of what they held dear.  I create End of Life Ceremonies that address the needs of the family and friends.  My opinions are completely immaterial to this ceremony.  The service will be as religious, spiritual or secular as you wish.

You can count on me to handle all the details so that you can focus on the love, support and healing of this very special ceremony.

This task may seem overwhelming during this time a trauma and grief.  I can help bring order to the chaos and healing to your sorrow.

celebration of life

A Celebration of Life is a tribute to the journey that a person has taken in this world.  Each person has made a unique contribution to life.  They have influenced everyone that they have had contact with.  They have had a impact on this world.

As a Life Cycle Celebrant®, I am a trained professional in the art of writing and delivering  a perceptive and memorable eulogy of the deceased.  I work closely with the family and friends to paint a picture that truly represents your loved one’s  struggles, accomplishments, interests, and values.

The entire ceremony that we create together with readings, songs, music, eulogies, rituals and other displays or media will be a wonderful, heartfelt and meaningful tribute to the unique life path of your loved one.

internment ceremony

There is no more poignant  ceremony than the final internment of the remains of your loved one.  This is a moment in our lives that connects us with each other,  to nature and to the eternal cycles of Life and Death.  This is a moment that you will remember for years to come.  I will create a custom ceremony in harmony with your beliefs and traditions.  A ceremony that will resonate in your heart and soul.

funerals for the unborn

grieving miscarriages and stillbirths

We do not grieve in proportion to what is lost,  we grieve with our whole hearts.  A pregnancy is a child with a future in our hearts.  Your child’s life may have been short but you have all been on the journey of life together.  You have opened the doors to your life wide and welcoming and now death has shut that door.

It may be very difficult to find an appropriate way to express our sorrow for a miscarriage.  Often no one else even knows that you were pregnant.  A couple who experiences miscarriage or even still birth is often denied the opportunity to grief their loss.  They are often encouraged to just move on.  There is no funeral, no mourning, no symbol of their sorrow.

Together we can craft a ceremony that honors and celebrates your lost child.  Every situation is different but there are many ways to create a memorial for an unborn child.  We can plan a naming ceremony; if there are remains an interment ceremony would be appropriate; or we can create a memorial work of art or box.

Ceremony can be very helpful in the grieving process.

living celebration of life

Why wait for death to gather your loved ones around you?  A Living Funeral is a celebration of your life and the journey that you have shared with others.

Why wait for death to tell your terminally ill friend or family member that you love them and say good-bye?  Why wait for death to have a beautiful ceremony and tell those heartwarming stories?

Consider a Living Funeral as a golden opportunity to gather family and friends together to say farewell, give away the treasures of a lifetime, sing those touching songs and say what is in your heart.

A living funeral gives the person a chance to come to terms with their death and make peace with themselves and others. The living funeral gives surviving friends and family a chance to share their grief with others.

pre-need funeral

There is a growing trend to write your own funeral.  Many people have the desire to relieve their families of the burden of deciding what should be included in their End of Life service.

What kind of End of Life Service do you want? I can help you design the a ceremony that speaks to your heart and reflects your values and beliefs.

I would be honored to work with you to develop the ceremony that will reflect your unique vision.

pet funeral

Words cannot describe the love we feel for our companion animals, nor the grief we feel when we lose them. Nothing can fill the void their passing leaves in our houses, our hearts and our families.

A Pet Funeral begins the healing process.  It is important to acknowledge the life that was so precious to us and the special meaning that little being gave to our lives.

Together we can create  a tender and meaningful funeral for your pet.

Animals are such agreeable friends, they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms.    George Eliot
